Sustainability at Higher Education Institutions (HOCH-N)
Develop – network – report
HOCHN strives to establish sustainability in all of its facets at German higher education institutions. It links the practical and academic while consolidating, reviewing, and building upon expertise and PR skills in the field of sustainability.
Based on the aims of the HOCHN network alliance, the project is divided into 5 areas of action:
- Sustainability reporting
- Governance
- Teaching
- Research
- Operations
Research alliance partners
Universität Hamburg oversees project management and coordination. Further participating institutions are: University of Bremen, Freie Universität Berlin, TU Dresden, University of Duisburg-Essen, Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, University of Leuphana, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Universität Tübingen, University of Vechta, and the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
Altogether 11 German higher education institutions cooperate in HOCHN, and several further organizations and individuals are involved in other ways. We are continually extending and developing our network and warmly welcome more institutions to join our research alliance.
