Plurale Ökonomik Hamburg
The Arbeitskreis Plurale Ökonomik (plural economics Hamburg working group) is a student initiative founded in 2012 to promote a plurality of theories and methods, openness to other disciplines, and a focus on social problems in economics. The working group is part of the Netzwerk Plurale Ökonomik e.V. and the International Students Initiative for Pluralism in Economics.
The initiative organized lecture series and public presentations in summer semester 2015 and winter semester 2015/16. The lecture series in winter semester 2015/16 revolved around the topic of economic and financial crises from a plural perspective. Crisis phenomena were examined from a plural perspective and various theory paradigms critically analyzed. Students from a wide range of subject areas demonstrated interest in the topics and actively participated in the discussions.
The team also organized a Plurales Sommerkino, a series of film screenings highlighting the diverse aspects of business and society.
